In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.

The adventure centers on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
