Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
